How to find germophobic friendly clothing

How to find germophobic friendly clothing

For those of us who dread purchasing clothing off the rack that may have been tried on by who knows how many people!

Step
1

When shopping at a retail brick and mortar store, it is best to only purchase intimate items that are in sealed packaging. Always check the garment before purchasing. Smell it. If it has even a faint odor of cologne or deodorant, take it to the clerk and demand they remove the contaminated item from the shelves. Check the arm pit area in shirts and tops, check the crotch area and hem area of pants, jeans and undergarments.

Step
2

If shopping on line make sure to check an Internet retailer's return policy. If an Internet Retailer or mail order catalog accepts return for any reason of any item, (including panties, swimwear and other intimates), ask them what they do with the returns.
Some smaller mom and pop companies will repackage and re-ship a worn, or tried on item back to the next customer... eeww! Larger companies will do the same, or they bundle the items in bales and sell to those $5 clothing stores or ship the items off to other countries.

Step
3

If you receive an item in the mail and it clearly shows signs of previous use. Return it!
For germaphobic friendly shopping check out http://www.T-Zers.Net Most garments are shipped in factory sealed packaging, and returns are only accepted for errors or damaged items, so you know you will not receive an item that has even been tried on by anyone else.
Returns that are received for other reasons are disposed of, sanatized and donated to charity, or used for floor displays and "never" re-sold.

Tips & Warnings

Think. Know your size! Take your actual body measurements and check your most recent clothing purchases so that you don't have to "try something on" which ruins a garment for the rest of us!

Check out the size charts for larger on-line merchants such as Sears, JC Penny, WalMart before you go shopping.

Think. If you think about all the germs and diseases that the person who tried on that dress or swimsuit, if it got tossed on a floor, if it was in their home and a snotty nosed kid sneezed on it, if their
dog
or cat layed on it, if the person who tried it on had any skin infections, dandruff, or venereal diseases...

Think. How many of you have tried on clothing in a store, without caring if the item falls on the floor, if you have a runny nose, or an open sore which brushes against the fabric?

Think. Don't take sick
children
with you when you shop.

Think. If you purchase something through the mail or Internet, then decide you need to return it, at least take care to keep the garment from coming into contact with contaminants, such as cologne, body lotions, pets and runny noses.

Merchants who do accept returns and the other customers those merchants send your returned item to, will be appreciative.
